lying in a manger
an unexpected story

the covenant was broken in
a garden long ago
when Adam and our mother Eve
believed that they could know

more than God our Father

taste how sweet forbidden fruit

doesn't want the best for you
that's why he denies
the sweetest tree is good for you
so don't believe his lie

the soul awakes to feel a shame
it never was to know
